AMEXME, is a national and international non-profit association, affiliated with Les Femmes Chefs D ́Entreprises Mondiales, by its acronym FCEM that was founded in France in 1945 at the end of World War II. FCEM is a pioneering association of women entrepreneurs in the world with representation in more than 120 countries on 5 continents.
In our country, the Association was founded on November 15, 1965 in Mexico City, with the purpose of forming a business sector of women to promote, expand and maintain relationships with similar organizations in order to exchange knowledge, experiences and promote networks of women. business. It is made up of businesswomen, owners or shareholders who participate in the operation of micro, small, medium and large companies, and participating in this organization allows them to promote their development within a framework of equal opportunities.
In 2000 we were invited to be part of the Quintana Roo chapter of this important organization, but due to the distance and complexity of coordination with the state capital, we entered an initiative to the national assembly so that the chapters were not only state but that there would be the possibility of opening autonomous chapters in the municipalities, a request approved by our then President, Judith Yanini, with two independent chapters being constituted in Quintana Roo, that of Cancún and that of Chetumal, with the same representation before the National Association and before the authorities premises, for which the founding of our chapter was made official in 2001, also opening the possibility of creating chapters in each municipality of our state and country, an objective that has been fully met.
AMEXME Cancun chapter encourages the updating and management of information, training in business issues, links and commercial exchange with other national or foreign businesswomen, and the participation of Mexican businesswomen in improving the life of our country.
During the management as national president of Lic. Ana María Sánchez Sánchez (2013 – 2018), the name (acronym) of our association was changed from AMMJE to AMEXME. Currently, Mtra. in Education Lucero Cabrales García Conde chairs AMEXME®, which is made up of 72 active chapters in 30 states of the Mexican Republic, integrating more than 6,000 legally constituted business partners, which makes it the largest women’s association in Mexico, with a wide business network throughout the country creating collaborative links with allies from the public and private sectors.
